The 2nd payment of $100 is due this Friday,
January 6th for the Spring Trip.  Checks made
payable to Azle Band Boosters.  

This Friday, Jan 6th is the last day to sign up for
the trip.  You would need $200 to cover the
deposit AND the 2nd payment.  Please also turn
in the spring trip form.

This Friday is also the last day to pull out of the
trip and recieve a refund, minus the $100
non-refundable deposit.



Parents & Students,

Those of you who made the 9th grade or 4A
Region Band will have your clinic & concert on
Jan 13-14.  There will be rehearsal Friday night in
Denton and then all day Saturday with the
concert at Guyer HS on Saturday night.

is the information sheet from the Region
Coordinator.  


Rehearsal clothes can be comfortable, but you'll
need to bring your concert blacks (like for the
Christmas Concert) to change in to for the
Concert Saturday night.

We will take a bus to and from the
rehearsals/concert.  We will meet at 4:00pm on
Friday to load the bus.  There won't be a dinner
break, so you will want to eat something before
we leave or bring a sack dinner on the bus with
you to eat on the way.  Saturday we will meet at
7am to ride the bus back out to Denton.  Bring
money with you for lunch and dinner.

It is an honor making the All-Region band and
required that you attend all of the rehearsals and
concert, so if there is a conflict that you might
have we need to know ASAP so we can work that
out.

Parents can sign out their student after the
concert to take them home if you wish.  Make
sure they are signed out with a director or
chaperone.

We have received the SAT & ACT Testing dates for this school
year.  Please plan accordingly because a couple do conflict with
important band contests.  There are plenty of dates that are
available that do not conflict with band events.

12/3 (unless you are auditioning for All-Region)

ACT Testing Dates:
9/10
2/11 (Unless you make the TMEA All-State Band)

6/9

Please do NOT sign up for these 2 dates:
SAT 10/1 (Bands of America Marching Contest in Arlington)
ACT 10/22 (UIL Region Marching Contest in Denton)

Band Memory Books
Order forms for MGP Memory books will go home
the week of December 5th. This will be a book
dedicated to the 2011/2012 MGP Marching and
Concert seasons. Cost will be $30 if ordered before
January 29th. There are also adds available to
commemorate your students year or a local
business.
