Attached is a copy of this year's
fundraising events
The Azle High School Band has approximately 300 band students this year!  These are a
great bunch of kids and they need your help.  This is a state competition year, so the
expenses are hefty.  Many families are already struggling financially, so we are providing
many fundraising opportunities in order to help offset expenses.

Band camp began August 3rd, with 5-6 hour practices.  Once school begins on the 24th,
practices will begin at 6:30 a.m., continue during band class, and sometimes after school.
They will average a major band event every 2.6 days the first five months of school.  These
include performing at every football game, Saturday competitions, region and area
competions and state.  They balance all of this with their school work, church and very little
sleep.  They must pay for uniforms, meals, accompanist fees, trip and competition fees, and
the list goes on.

We will be doing fundraisers throughout the year.  Right now, we are selling raffle tickets,
making charity quilts, having yard sales, etc.  My request is a little more simple.  I am
asking that you set up a coffee cup, jar, or whatever else works for you and start saving
your change for them.  We typically do dime drives, but you can do pennies and that would
be just great.  If this is something you can do, please email me and let me know and I will
add you to our sponsor list.  We can check with you weekly and collect your change.  I will
make sure that this goes to the kids that need it most.  You will be personally blessing them
through this simple act.

These kids bring so many honors back to our community each year with the titles they win
and the people they impress with their quiet dignity, their respect for each other and their
amazing band work ethic.  Please help me support them this year and help get them where
they need to go.

relatives, friends, or anyone else that might be interested in helping our/your children.

       Coke Sales
Our second Coke Sale of the year will begin February 1
and end February 20.  Delivery date is to be determined.

All cases are $20.00 each except for the Powerades on the
far right.  The students that do go out and sell these do
very well.  They get to keep $5 for every case they sell.  If
you could sell 59 cases, you would earn the entire $295 for
your Corpus Christi trip.  We do have several students
that sell that and they just make a flyer explaining what
they are doing and what goals they are reaching.  Give it a
try...you have nothing to lose! Please collect money in
advance and put your order form and your money in an
envelope with your child's name on it and put it in the
white box inside Dr. Grant's office.

The Bowl a thon fundraiser at Cowtown Bowling Center is this Saturday from
11:30 to 1:30.  Entry fee is $5...this covers your rental shoes and two games.  
Please bring your sponsor sheets to the bowling center with any money you
have already collected.  Some of you have had your entry fee donated by a
sponsor and I should have contacted you already.  If I haven't, you need to
bring that $5 with you Saturday or you will not be able to bowl.


If you would like to participate and your name isn't on the list, please email, call
or text me right away.  If you are on this list and won't be participating, I need to
know that also.
