Band Memory Books
Memory books are in. If you ordered a memory
book and have not yet picked it up or want to get
one they will be available at registration. We still
have a limited quantity of extras if you still need
one, $40 until we run out.

2012\2013 JV and Varsity Marching Information
There have been many questions about the new JV & Varsity
Marching bands that will be starting next year. This is something
we are very excited about so that everyone in band can participate
and perform at their individual level. The JV will encompass
EVERYONE in the high school bands and they will perform a
pre-game show with 5-10 drill sets to a popular song (spell out
AHS, hornets, & be very spirited). They will also play the Star
spangled banner & fight song to bring the team on the field. There
are no auditions for the JV band. JV will go to all home & away
games; but not contests, except those JV band members who might
be helping with props. The Varsity will be the competition band
that performs at half-time at all games and contests. It will be by
marching & playing audition that will happen during August
marching camps. Concert band placement & grade level does not
have bearing on who makes the varsity. In other words there will
be some freshman who make the varsity & also 3rd band
members. There may be some 1st band members who don't make
the varsity. It will be the best at the time of auditions. We will still
have challenges for those who don't make a varsity spot right
away but want to challenge in. Both JV & Varsity are required to
come to all of the august camps. Once school starts varsity will
rehearse in the mornings & Monday nights 6-8pm. JV will rehearse
Monday evenings from 5-6pm. Both JV & varsity will do the after
school run thru every Friday on the football field. We hope this
clears up any confusion and if you have additional questions
please don't hesitate to ask! Next year is going to be awesome and
